Team Leader Product Compliance ＆ Component Qualification

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will ensure that medium voltage (MV) products and systems are tested and validated according to market requirements, technical specifications, and the latest standards. As a Senior Test Engineer, you will plan and conduct tests, approve results, and apply advanced testing methods and concepts. You will also support development and second-source projects during the testing and verification phases, providing valuable feedback to improve product design from a testing perspective. This role is contributing to the LCM Product Compliance Team and collaborates with the product owner to ensure that our products are properly tested according to the latest standards. You will be mainly accountable for: • Collaborating with electrical engineers and external laboratories to define test specifications, prepare test setups, execute tests, and document results. • Supporting R&D and production with verification, pre-compliance, component, and qualification tests for new products and second-source projects. • Participating in customer inspections and managing technical clarifications during acceptance tests. • Supervising, coaching, and sharing best practices with test engineers, technicians, and colleagues across projects.

Qualifications for the role

• You hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• You have extensive experience in test preparation, execution, and verification, ideally with over 10 years in a test lab or similar environment.
• You possess qualifications for working in test laboratories and are familiar with IEC and UL standards.
• You demonstrate a solution-focused mindset, using fact-based arguments to drive results.
• You are self-driven, highly responsible, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
• You are recognized as a team player with strong collaboration, communication, and coaching skills.
• You are fluent in German and English; knowledge of ABB products is an advantage.
