Your responsibilities

• As Managing Director of thyssenkrupp Materials Trading Asia Pte. Ltd. in Singapore you are responsible for the overall business success of the company with a current turnover of around 400 Mio. USD and 30 employees
• You are responsible for the commodity and steel trading business in the Asian market (Southeast Asia, Korea, Japan, parts of China), regional offices reporting to the company in Singapore and drive successful cross-regional collaboration with customers, suppliers and our group companies globally
• In strong cooperation with the local CFO, you identify growth opportunities, ensure the efficiency and profitability of business activities, and implement successful risk management.
• You lead a high-performing team, create a respectful corporate culture, a motivating work environment, and promote employee development
• Your leadership skills are defined by transparent communication of company goals and strategies, as well as the establishment of clear performance standards and expectations
• You ensure compliance with country-specific and company internal regulations, as well as legal requirements at all times
• You report to the global Chief Executive Officer of thyssenkrupp’s international trading business headquartered in Germany

Your profile

• You have several years of experience in commodity trading (raw materials and finished products) or trading of financial products in a leadership role, such as Vice President, Sales Director, Sales Manager, or in risk management
• You have in-depth knowledge of risk hedging and stay up to date with current market developments, and country-specific market regulations
• You enjoy operational trading activities in an international environment with a hands on mentality and proven success in developing companies
• Your leadership qualities are characterized by cooperation, motivation, and assertiveness, always acting with respect and as a role model
• You remain calm and composed even in challenging situations, demonstrate strong negotiation skills and are confident in communicating with internal and external stakeholders at various levels
• In addition to a high level of self-motivation, you exhibit strong performance orientation combined with reliability
• You are willing to relocate to Singapore, open for international business trips,and fluent in written and spoken English
