Reporting directly to the Sales Supervisor, you will maintain and develop business with existing and new customers in line with the Business Unit Manager’s guidelines in the defined sales territory while meeting or exceeding financial and non-financial targets, in a way that enhances Medtronic’s reputation in the market.
- Analyses the marketplace, develop an effective territory/account sales strategy, and present the strategy to management to gain approval for implementation.
- Perform all activities to maximize sales (in line with the sales strategy) from product introduction and presentation to contract negotiation.
- Identify and address all key decision makers (clinical, administrative / economic) and key opinion leaders in all accounts and report on them via the provided systems and personally to the district manager on a regular basis.
- Further increase penetration in existing accounts, develop existing accounts into potential new product therapies/patient therapies and develop actual non-buying accounts.
- Build – together with regional and business manager – strong and lasting business relationships with key opinion leaders and key decision makers influential in the purchasing process.
- Attend, participate and communicate about presentations in key professional congresses and events as required.
- Provide technical support in the OR (i.e., physicians, consultants, cardiologists) according to territory guidelines.
- Ensure that consignment and all other stock levels are properly controlled, according to the asset management guidelines and targets.
- Degree in Engineering, Life-science, Marketing, Business Administration or Biology or another relevant, advanced degree or similar
- Experience in sales within healthcare industry or high value complex solution sectors
- fluent in French, German and English spoken and written
- Experience in sales within healthcare industry or high value complex solution sectors
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Traveling up to 75% - 85%
- Analytical skills
- Proven ability to operate in a matrix environment and work effectively with sales force and physicians
- Demonstrated integrity, team spirit and reliability
