We are currently looking to recruit a Global Indirect Sourcing Specialist (hybrid) to join our award-winning business, in Switzerland.
The Global Indirect Sourcing Specialist is responsible for setting the strategy for the procurement of supplies and services needed to support Neogen’s global manufacturing and operation. This position provides recommendations and guidance to various departments and regions for the Indirect strategic goals. This position requires strong communication skills build a network both internally and externally to support the global operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
  • Prepares bid requests, contract proposals, and other documents needed to initiate and support a procurement process.
  • Negotiate and execute agreements to secure a competitive market position for Neogen.
  • Locate and work with appropriate departments to qualify new suppliers.
  • Identify key indirect products and services for the company and will work to secure secondary/tertiary suppliers as needed for these items.
  • Identify opportunities for standardizing products and services across the organization to streamline the indirect procurement process and reduce variability in purchases.
  • Develop and execute strategies to leverage volume discounts, optimize costs, and enhance supplier relationships.
  • Onboard New Suppliers to ensure all needed forms/documentation has been completed.
  • Work with Quality and Regulatory departments to resolve any identified issues/risks with a supplier.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and market trends.
  • Lead and initiate tenders, evaluate and recommend suppliers based on cost, quality, service, and reliability criteria.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Monitor supplier performance and compliance with contract terms, addressing any issues or discrepancies.
  • Analyze spend data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Additional projects as assigned by Supervisor.
Skills & Experience Required:
  • Previous experience in sourcing/purchasing organization at global level.
  • Academic degree in economics, engineering, or similar field of studies is preferable.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA MM Module
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 especially excel
  • Experience across indirect commodities in Pharma/Life Science, Automotive or Aerospace is an advantage.
  • Experience in leading negotiations, contracting, and managing medium to large value procurement projects.
  • Experience in modern eProcurement platform solutions beneficial.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Language Skills: Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Must have the ability to effectively communicate to colleagues and management of all levels as applicable, including reading and interpretting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Please note this role will operate on a hybrid basis.
