Description du poste

We are looking for a Strategic People Planning Consultant who enjoys working in a dynamic team and living the values of focus and respect, where fun is also an important element for success. Are you passionate about connecting dots between business strategies, changing market conditions, and having the right workforce in place?

Then this opportunity might be yours!

About the Role

Strategic People Planning (SPP), also known as Strategic Workforce Planning, is the connector to build and act on what is required to make our workforce fit for the future, taking into consideration future skills, the ideal size and shape of teams, as well as costs and where teams should be located geographically. In short, SPP helps us to put the right people, in the right place, at the right time to succeed and become future ready.

In this role you will integrate into business transformation efforts while at the same time establish a company-wide practice.

Curious what your key responsibilities look like?

  • Shape the design, build-up, and scaling of a companywide SPP practice. This includes generating ideas that will help us shape the future practice, optimizing the approach for implementation, required solutions and a governance framework.
  • Drive the implementation of specific products, e.g., a company-wide demand planning process, location analysis process. This includes collaborating with other teams within the business, HR (e.g., Reward, Talent, Learning & Development) or within Group support functions (e.g., Data, Technology, Finance).
  • Act as advisor and subject matter expert for dedicated business transformations, in close collaboration with business leaders and global HR partners. Concrete, but exemplary to do's as they might be different due to the needs of the initiatives:
    • Define future ready skills in collaboration with key stakeholders
    • Analyze relevant data, e.g., regarding job roles, job architecture, future headcount people demand and supply forecasts, headcount development analysis/scenarios building, location analysis in terms of talent required
    • Translate data into tangible insights and people actions and clear storylines/decks for senior management
  • Build decks and storylines for senior management meetings

About the Team

The SPP team is a newly established team within the Human Resources (HR) function. It is an interdisciplinary team closely connected to other teams in HR and outside HR.

The mandate for the team is to establish a strategic people planning practice for the entire company supported by the Group Executive Committee (GEC) and at the same time forms a HR Must Win (strategic initiative with high importance). Initially SPP was set-up as a project and we're now establishing a group-wide practice including SPP consulting/advisory services and the respective solutions and products.

The team supports strategic transformation initiatives across Swiss Re that have been defined as a priority. SPP consultants directly work with business leaders and global HR Partners for the transformation initiatives we support. Data modelers work on specific solutions/tools for the core initiatives together with the SPP consultants.

About You

We are looking for a high-energy teammate with a strong sense of ownership and dedication who is comfortable working across a highly matrixes environment and with senior leaders. With your 'can-do' mentality you feel energized by complex topics and shaping something new. You demonstrate pragmatism and speed, but at the same time you also think strategically.

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience in Strategic Workforce Planning or in a consultancy role
  • Experience in project management, change leadership, and working in agile setups
  • Ability to create compelling storylines/decks for senior leaders, incl. synthesizing data to define key people insights and metrics
  • Exceptional communicator in English (verbal and written) and able to convince stakeholder on senior level

We are looking forward to your application!
