J’ai eu un entretien d’embauche à la limite c’était un examen de math. Aucune question sur mon expérience ou mes compétences clés liés au poste. 5 personnes pour faire l’entretien, 4 n’ont pas mis leurs caméras. Ils ont par contre demandé à ce que j’active la mienne. J’ai trouvé cela très déplacé. Manque de considération évident je n’ai pas souhaité poursuivre avec cette équipe.

The only really good thing is home office and the very flexible working times. Ridiculous/lengthy processes (SDLC and change management for instance). Most employees focus on their own goals only. Too many chasers. Slow infrastructure. High personnel fluctuations. Lots of low skilled employees abroad. *Zero* career chances as a technology oriented person.

Busy long work days with challenging tasks. Flexible working adjustments, as long as you deliver. There is good management and not so good, depending of the area where you work. Work culture is international, open and collegial, although most employees are so busy that there is no time for networking. Changing priorities and regular re-orgs affect employees making them insecure and less motivated. Nevertheless, I have enjoyed my time at UBS.

Challenging environment, all colleagues very supportive. Line managers are usually very demanding, and put much attention to the way information is communicated to stakeholders. During peak times long working hours might be needed, but then line managers encourage to reduce the time in the office when there are no critical deadlines to be met.

UBS is generally a really good employer and I really like my job in the field of AML. What is really annoying is the process regarding salary increases and promotion - it's very political and the decision is not made fairly. I got the impression that the whole decision about who gets promoted depends not on the quality of your deliveries, but more on the amount of years a person is already working for the company. If you move internally, it is given, that you won't get a salary increase due to internal policies - no matter if you have a lot more responsibilities than before.

You get to work with lots of professionals, however, Work load can increase daily. You also have access to several trainings and educations within the bank, but the work life balance is usually not considered. UBS offers great promotion opportunities and you can move internally rather easily, but the job is very demanding and stressful. Overall, I would recommend working at UBS, but know that it will be a stressful environment with very little work to life balance.
