Great experience but glad I'm gone

The most important thing I can say about this organization is that your peers will be wonderful, intelligent, hard-working people and the senior management are essentially sociopaths. There's not really any chance of professional development or advancement because it's always "not a good time" due to constant reorganization and shifting priorities at the top. Great work-life balance because of Switzerland's strict labor laws. However, you're given the impression that more work/harder work leads to advancement, which is completely inaccurate.

Ambiance toxique.beaucoup d'entre soi et de copinage. Peu de professionalisme. Désorganisation du service ( work place experience) et ambiance délétère.

good place to work but with some important cons

Lots of different management styles in the company and not much of standard processes. Every employee may have a complete different experience when it comes to coaching, training, performance review and expectations, flex-work, etc. Stressful environment in general. "Yes, sir" culture makes non priorities to become urgencies in a second. Senior management micro-manages on projects and expects executors to review over and over results and plans. In a way it makes sense since the size of the business makes small changes to anything to deliver or risk millions of dollars. However, it doesnt help employees to develop decision making skills and it is hard to propose new and out of the box ideas.The company in general takes good care of employees, but it gives you the feeling that they focus only on the things that could be mentioned to the outside world (response to COVID, year'end celebration, etc.), and dont care much about day to day employees happiness and wellbeing.In addition, there is always something new being piloted, organizations are always changing. It is hard to feel stable at your position or on having job security.

Nice compensation but very poor work culture

Nice company to work for if you are 40+ with 2 kids plus a non-working partner. WL balance is great, compensation as well, but the day-to-day is quite boring and disconnected from business reality.

International and multicultural environment

Typical huge corporate environment and mind set. Lots of politics and not a clear direction. The company is going under a huge transformation and this bring pros and cons. International opportunities, good financial package. Networking and multicultural opportunities. Slow, old fashioned management.

Great place to learn and get to know good people

PM is an amazing company - I've received countless growth opportunities and the company is very open when it comes to leaving the growth on the employee - unfortunately the C suite is a bit old and not willing to move at the pace they need to change. They're not walking the talk

The company is in a controversial industry but provides superior training and excellent salary and benefits. The opportunities are there and strongly recommend it for mid-level professionals

Good place to work with good benefit

I've worked for couple of years in this company and overall I can say it is a good company with good benefit to its employees. I learnt about working with different people with different nationalities and background. For me, there is a bit lack of transparency from management to the team particularly for upcoming changes. Culture wise, I think my department has a very nice and warm one, though might not be the case with other departments.

Mi experiencia en Philip Morris ha sido extremadamente positiva y bonita, un trabajo bien estructurado en un buen ambiente, con buenos horarios, un buen sueldo y ventajas para el empleado. Me ha encantado, aconsejo esa empresa a todos.

Good compensation but average company culture

The compensation is great and no other company can compete at this point. For those who still want to be involved in the tobacco, this is the company for you. For those who don't know about the business, I suggest you ask around as this is not a 'normal' business. Furthermore, you'll have big difficulties finding another job in another industry coming out from Tobacco.
