As I was the only person in the office most of the time, it is important to establish a good rapport with a variety of individuals inside and outside the company without face-to-face interaction. Each of the previous three companies I worked with since August of 1982 are similar. Supporting sales/business activities is the beginning and end of each day. Revenue, inventory management, and customer service via phone and e-mail contact are part of a typical day. The experience of working with distributors caused Medtronic to create the position of Sales Office Coordinator when Medtronic acquired Master-Medics. I work by: 1) What needs to be done? 2) Prioritizing tasks. 3) Identify and complete activities others are unwilling or unable to do. I'm known to have never said the words, "...not my job" and Medtronic is a good example of how individuals are able to work with this attitude.

Issues outside my sphere of control.
My typical day entailed calling in cases to Customer Service, collecting and processing PO's. Also did all travel arrangements, booked meetings and a host of general administrative duties. Management and co-workers were very supportive and allowed me to do work independently and trusted me to get the job done. The hardest part of he job was making sure everyone was where they were supposed to be and that could be difficult when unexpected cases came in and you have to make sure it gets covered even when everyone is busy. The most enjoyable part of the job was the people I worked for. Because of them I enjoyed coming into work everyday.
