good Company to work with if they restructure the management. too much politic and grey area. a lot of good people leaving because of poor manager with no people management skill.
One of the best company that I've worked for. Colleagues are good and the working environment is flexible. Able to work from home. Systems used are quite advanced.
Risk of jobs moving to shared services

Great benefits and approve of CEO. Although if you want to succeed in this career, you will have sacrifice your work life balance. Manangement depends on location you work in but over all it is good company to work depending on the location.
No worklife balance
Not a fun place to work, no job security, managment does not treat everyone the same. Not a safe place to complain to the managment they will not listen to you if you go to HR person he or she will not listen to you. Managment's, HR, and Supervisor's are too close to each other if you are part of the group you are not welcome. if you leave the company and want to come back you are not able too. Managment's HR and some of the supervisor's created a social life outside the business that the rest of the staff are not included
Love the mission of the company and helping others.
Depending on locations and functions, Medtronic employees may have completely different opinions about the company. I worked in a corporate function for 2 years and had the worst nightmare in my 10 year career. Layoffs, big or small, went one after another. Benefits were cut. No more team activities. No recognitions. Managers treat people poorly, measuring performance only by hours, not by efficiency or quality. They micromanage employees to the extreme. If you want to have work life balance, forget about promotions. The morale is at all time low, approved by the high turnovers. Medtronic was a good company, but not any more. It is a sinking ship!
corporate programs such as mentoring, choir, company sponsored seminars, etc.
poor management, no work-life balance.
