No recognition to the most talented employees, no career progression, a lot of "yes man" behavior, a lot of politics, poor culture. Decent pay and benefits.
Too many meetings and need to work overtime specially in operational areas. Excellent facilities, as well as culture and working atmosphere. Obsolete system and not much attention into it yet.
Free breakfast, plenty of social hours and opportunities to network.
Extreme amount of meetings, obsolete system to work with, overtime can go extreme and is not measured and paid as it is part of salary as per contract.
I worked in a team of 6 and was the most senior member of the team. I took on the role of team leader and supervised the other members of the team on a day to day basis. The work involved the set up and execution of clinical trials ranging from phase I to phase IV trails with the majority being phase II and phase III trials. My role involved the set-up of the shipping routes and liaising with the CRO's to ensure a suitable mechanism was in place to ensure the shipping conditions were maintained during transit of the product. I was also responsible for performing all the investigations relating to temperature excursions during transit and following up with the CROs to ensure a timely conclusion to the investigation and the implementation of any CAPA that was required as a result of the root cause analysis from the investigation. During my time at Biogen, I increased my understanding on the requirements of managing a team of 5 individuals with different requirements and from cultures. I also experienced working for a company outside of the UK and how multi-nation companies function. There was a very diverse culture within Biogen due to the large number of nationalities within the company and being a US company based in Switzerland. Overall the culture was focused on delivering a quality product to the customer at any time and ensuring that any issues are resolved in a timely manner. Strategy was at times unclear, a lot of "political" nonsense within the company & company systems were not the most user-friendly.

Great company where to work. The management strives to ensure appropriate level of knowledge of important matters ongoing. To that end breakfast are scheduled, meetings to inform people about new products with launch offered, and others. The company is running fast, with many changes occurring since the time the new CEO joined. Very interesting pipeline.

Great company but with some absolute divas in the new LSM facility management team. Unfortunately they are decision makers and not to be taken lightly. The rest of the team is fantastic! Workdays are relatively long, but always interesting as this is a new build so real pioneer spirit.

One or two absolute divas, totally incompetent in the senior management, who are only out to fill their own wallets.
I was very happy working for Biogen and is has been a very valuable experience for me in both my professional and my personal life. Very great people working hard every day to make patients lifes better. The learnings and experiencies during my time at Biogen have been very motivational and inspirational, and in all senses, priceless.

Company's growth with no clear direction.
Overall, Biogen is a great place to work. Internal training opportunities are good. Salary is great and location is good; close to all the amenities and public transportation. Vacation days are sufficient and bridge days are included, which adds to the amount of time you can take off.
Lots of social events
Can be difficult to work towards self-development i.e if management changes, your development plans may not be supported.
