Fun, productive and a great place to work. Do your research first.
Inside Sales Account Manager (ancien employé) - Portland, OR - 4 avril 2022
Avis à la une
L'avis le plus utile, sélectionné par IndeedI seriously enjoyed my time at Aruba-HPE. If they could invest time and energy in a career planning program I would still be there. Once you prepare to get the NEXT Level you will be doing all of the research and steps on your own.
Points positifs
Positive attitude, good support form Sr. engineers
Points négatifs
They have a very difficult time paying the sales people commissions

Stay away!
Marketing Executive (ancien employé) - Belgium - 18 décembre 2021
Stay away from the fake friendly job proposal! The general environment is toxic, managers are afraid to lose their jobs but they bully their people. There is no support for new hires and intimidation is the general culture
Points positifs
None
Points négatifs
Politics are the main sports in the company.

Mega Organizations
National Administrative Manager (ancien employé) - Remote/ NYC - 7 septembre 2020
Companies of this size often suffer from just being too big to move/pivot quickly. Processes and communication layers present continual challenges. Luckily dynamic staff work miracles despite it all. That’s why I enjoyed as much of it as I did. We worked smart and hard together. We were always on top. As culture changed many jobs did too. I miss the team. COVID-19 demolished sales capacity and changed business needs overnight. I’m a casualty of that war. Sales is hitting the ground running. Shaking hands and kissing babies. Not for a while now. Unfortunate.
Points positifs
Dedicated Team Work
Points négatifs
Processes are slow

Great place to work at, salary needs improvement
Engineer (ancien employé) - San Jose, CA - 25 mai 2020
Great benefits culture and work life balance. There needs to be a better path to advance an employee's experience rather than just staying in one place the entire time. Pay needs improvement, but is locked down to a failing company: HPE. If HPE ever improves and adapts to the market, it's definitely a great place to work, but it very unstable as there have been many layoffs.

Good
Senior Lead (employé actuel) - Chennai, Tamil Nadu - 20 avril 2020
Good to work. Number one in wireless networking across India. Strive for excellence. Customer first customer last is the motto of Aruba. Over all good.

Nepotism and mismanagement
Systems Software Engineer (employé actuel) - Roseville, CA - 6 mars 2020
Management is through seniority and the more senior someone is, the less they actually know what's going on. They do not recognize based on how well you work, but rather they recognize by years of service, which means that people who have 30 years here can just coast and not do anything while getting promoted, while if you do actual work you won't actually get rewarded. Old boy's club.
Also, there's a lot of nepotism here. People hiring wives, family members while there are other more qualified people around. There are people here who don't know the basics yet are in roles of power due to nepotism.
You can coast as long as you want here, but you'll lose all your skills and when the company eventually collapses you'll be out of a job. Much of middle management lost all technical ability and are deathly fearful of losing their jobs, so they'll do whatever top management asks them to do, and push it to their employers. As long as you stay in line though and generate your reports you'll be okay, but if you stay here long you'll be unemployable elsewhere.

Laid back atmosphere. Fun Environment.
Master Technologist (Wireless) (employé actuel) - Roseville, CA - 4 mars 2020
-You are expected to know your stuff and accomplish most task assigned to you at any given moment. CO-workers are _all_ willing to offer assistance and all are easily available via communication tools.
Points positifs
A lot of activities offered and training is easily available
Points négatifs
Long Hours, which is not bad if you enjoy what you are doing and learning.

Too old fashioned and bureacratic and no clear vision.
DevOps Engineer (ancien employé) - Santa Clara, CA - 11 février 2020
No clear vision or roadmap. Too many middle managers and very inefficient structure and methods. Management not ready to spend money on tools and software and push for Open Source. Put too many bodies to do certain jobs that can easily be automated.
Points positifs
Easy going and friendly people.
Points négatifs
Incompetent managers with no clear visibility.

Good place to work
Automation Lead (employé actuel) - Chennai, Tamil Nadu - 5 février 2020
Learning only on your own effort. Fast pased company wont have much time for ourselves. Heavy politics will be involved and difficult to prove among community people.

Awesome Tech and Personable Coworkers
Automation Software Engineering Intern (ancien employé) - Roseville, CA - 13 septembre 2019
I really have no gripes at all about working with Aruba. As an intern, I worked essentially as a junior developer, hacking away at the very same features my full-time colleagues were playing with.
I was given ample guidance, resources, and time to complete my projects.

Great experience as a startup
Receptionist/Administrative Assistant (ancien employé) - Sunnyvale, CA - 5 juin 2019
As my first job out of college, this was a wonderful introduction in to the tech startup scene. After being acquired by HPE, things have changed a lot. As someone from the acquired company it has been a bit hard to navigate.
