Management is not good but great benefits
Store Associate (ancien employé) - Moorpark, CA - 19 septembre 2022
Avis à la une
L'avis le plus utile, sélectionné par IndeedAmazon fresh in Moorpark, the training is minimal, an online information training, you don’t get hands on training until you’re actually thrown in to do it yourself. The pay is weekly, you 40+hrs of PTO and your vacation keeps adding up. You get free shoes, shirts and $100 limit as a10% discount on Amazon prime which renews every year. Management is not reliable, scheduling days off is a hassle because you actually need to call HR in order for you schedule days because managers won’t do that for you even if requested a month in advance.

Good work-life balance
Retail associate (ancien employé) - London - 7 septembre 2022
Receiving, stoking, helping customers. Retail duties. It's very straightforward job. Tasks are easy. Support available but there is very bad communication between leadership and associates.
Points positifs
Good work-life balance
Points négatifs
There is lot of cons unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to list all of them.

Great Teamwork
Retail Associate (employé actuel) - Seattle, WA - 12 juin 2022
Teamwork is great but there is a trickle down effect of lack of training. But everybody works together to figure it out and train each other, leads and team members alike. Haven't met upper management yet.
Points positifs
Decent hours and compensation.
Points négatifs
Lack of training, top down

The rumors about Amazon being inept when managing a grocery store are true.
Retail Associate (ancien employé) - Woodland Hills, CA - 4 mai 2022
Being a flex associate is great because you are in control of your hours. However, I wouldn’t recommend working any other position. The hours are random and you have no real schedule, ranges from 4am to like 11pm and it can be back-breaking labor. Even flex can be irritating helping customers ask dumb questions constantly, and poor communication, in addition to repetitive work and an overall draining environment. I’ve had issues with co-workers being flirty constantly, management being somewhat harassing… etc. The shelves have been half empty for years which leads to issues with customers wanting product, and they are stocked incorrectly due to a lack of supervision a lot of the time. If you can avoid working here do it.
Points positifs
Flex allowed you to pick your own schedule at will.
Points négatifs
Short breaks, poor scheduling and communication, poor management.

Productive & Fun
Bookstore Associate (ancien employé) - Cerritos, CA - 12 avril 2022
My team was always supportive and caring, our area manager was a little more difficult to get along/ get support from when he was around, but overall I had a good experience and was always treated with respect. I only don't work there anymore, because they shut down retail stores, but I enjoyed my time there.

Amazon offers great benefits, but...
Outbound Retail Store Associate (employé actuel) - Schaumburg, IL - 8 avril 2022
Expect employees to work fast & efficient with poorly executed tools and plans that make this an impossibility. For the most part, employees are beaten down and exhausted, low morale, being crushed by this
Points positifs
It's Amazon, some really great coworkers
Points négatifs
Team leads play favorites

Standard Retail Work, With Amazon Culture
Retail Associate (ancien employé) - Seattle, WA - 3 mars 2022
This was a standard retail job, just with Amazon culture mixed in. This meant that there were some problematic aspects. Staff were always being watched and reports were always being written on them, which I did not appreciate.

Great place to work
Retail Sales Associate (employé actuel) - Chicago, IL - 27 février 2022
Very respectful, especially considering I am transgender. They help me succeed and give the employes a lot of leeway when you go through the correct channels while still having strict-ish rules. Has 1 on 1 with manager and they give constructive criticism. You also get a lot of opportunities or bonus, overtime, and compensation pay! Provides 401k, stocks, healthcare, etc for part time as well, which is amazing! They also have very very appropriate and helpful covid-19 help and resources. However they can be quite strict for some rules. They always follow my availability too
Points positifs
Bonus pay, overtime, 401k, stocks, covid-19 pay, accomodations
Points négatifs
Can be very strict

Good first job
Store Associate (ancien employé) - Whittier, CA - 1 novembre 2021
As a flex employee the job was pretty easy. Most of the job consisted of online orders. You would literally just be shopping for the people who placed their orders online. If the days were slow and didn’t have many online ordered you would just walk through the isles and make sure everything was organized.

Easy Job But Management Doesn't Care
Retail Sales Associate (ancien employé) - Irvine, CA - 9 juin 2021
You do the most menial and easy task such as stocking shelves, counting products to see if they match inventory numbers, scan and receive products, rotate products based on expiration date and you get paid more than decent to do basically unskilled mindless physical labor. What is terrible about it is management does not care about anything except numbers on paper. What do I mean by this? They tell us our goal is to keep the store stocked, clean, faced, and have all products received in a certain manner and time. But none of that happens cause management just doesn't care or do any actual real management. Associates don't rotate expired products, the don't properly stock products, etc... and when you report it to management they don't do anything about it. HR issues are rampant and corporate and HR just turns a blind eye to everything. Corporate does a lot of arm chair policy from Seattle without having a single clue of how the stores actually operate. Get little to no training whatsoever, and the rampant and blatant nepotism in the company is very obvious. All they care about is how many things you scan essentially, not the quality of your work or if you did it correctly. Working hard and doing your job correctly and efficiently does not get rewarded at all. You get paid the same as all the people who stand around and do nothing 70% of the time, and all management does is give you more work because you are reliable, but gives you no credit or recognition for it. Amazon itself is terrible hypocritical company to work for. They constantly shove politics into your face via their -
Points positifs
Super basic and easy job, laid back, and hard to get fired
Points négatifs
HR violations galore, horrible management that doesn't care, does not reward actually working
