Aki Sushi is an authentic Japanese restaurant in Zug, privately owned and operated by a Japanese owner.

We offer high-quality Japanese cuisine and authentic Edomae-style sushi, using carefully selected ingredients and maintaining high standards of preparation, presentation and hospitality.

We are looking for a professional and experienced Restaurant Service Staff Member who understands the importance of excellent hospitality, attention to detail and professional guest service.

Your Responsibilities

• Providing professional, attentive and courteous service to guests
• Welcoming guests and ensuring a high standard of Japanese hospitality
• Taking orders accurately and communicating clearly with the kitchen
• Explaining Japanese dishes, sushi and menu items to guests
• Maintaining excellent table presentation and cleanliness
• Ensuring smooth and efficient service during lunch and dinner
• Handling guest requests and enquiries professionally
• Working closely with colleagues to maintain a high standard of service
• Following restaurant procedures and service standards
• Maintaining a professional appearance and attitude at all times

Candidate Requirements

• A diploma in hospitality, restaurant service or hotel management from a recognised professional school is required
• Professional experience in a quality restaurant or hotel environment
• Excellent written and spoken English and German
• Japanese language skills are an advantage
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A professional understanding of hospitality and guest service
• High attention to detail, reliability and a strong sense of responsibility
• Well-organised, punctual and able to work effectively in a professional team
• Genuine interest in Japanese cuisine and hospitality
• Swiss passport, EU/EFTA passport, or a valid Swiss residence/work permit authorising employment in Switzerland
